From Bananatree to Surfboards
Growing up in Mawi, I discovered surfing in 1997 by watching tourists. At 10, I made my first board from a banana tree and taught myself to surf with friends. A gifted Pukas board a few years later changed everything.
By 2006, I was surfing confidently and became one of the first to teach in Selong Belanak. Starting from my small warung, I later moved to Bali to refine my skills and organize surf trips across Indonesia.
In 2014, I opened Jack’s Warung, which has since grown into Moda Surf—a place where I share my passion and inspire others to ride the waves.
